Privacy Statement

MEMBERSHIP DATA  Shincliffe Local History Society (SLHS, ‘we’, ‘us’, ‘our’) is bound by the Data Protection Act 2018 to process members’ (‘you’, ‘your’) details fairly, lawfully, and transparently.

SLHS holds membership data for two purposes.

Firstly, we hold data to satisfy your rights as a member. That is, to ensure you receive the latest news and information about forthcoming SLHS events, to circulate other details which may be of interest to you, and to ensure that your membership details are up to date.

Secondly, we hold data to allow us to collect and correctly assign subscriptions for membership.

No membership data is shared with any person or organisation outside of SLHS unless either, a) we have your permission to do so, or b) we are required to do so by law.

Shincliffe Local History Society will not sell, rent, or trade membership data with any other person or organisation.

Membership data is not held on this website (www.slhs.uk), nor may it be accessed via this website.

If you wish to view or amend your details or have any queries about the data held by us, please contact us at the email address below.

CONTACTING US IF YOU ARE NOT A MEMBER If you are not a member of the society and you contact us by email or by any other means, we will retain your contact details to facilitate your request. We will retain your contact details thereafter, for a time determined by us, unless you ask us to delete them.

SLHS reserves the right to refuse publication of articles for any reason.
