Died 07.11.1944, on board a Royal Navy Tank Landing Ship which was mined and sunk in the English Channel.
Aged 40
Commemorated at The Air Forces WWII Memorial, Runnymede, Surrey.
Born 25.10.1904 in Sedgefield.
Son of Edith (Nelson) Alderson, 9 Avenue Street, Shincliffe.
(In 1911 address given as Shincliffe Station. Father, Tom Alderson died in 1933).

Died 14/10/1939, when H.M.S. Royal Oak was torpedoed by a submarine while anchored at Scapa Flow, Orkney, Scotland.
